E Pluribus Unum

Let us pray,

E Pluribus Unum – Out of many, one.

Almighty God:

You have taught us that: “a house divided against itself cannot stand”.

As we see in our time an effort for the division of societal  components, we understand that we cannot seek peace if we make war with each other. We pray You give us the strength to avoid anything that brings discord.

Bind us closely, as Paul Harris and his associates designed Rotary. May we remain instruments of Unity in a world torn by differences.

May our Unity of body, mind and spirit, of one heart and soul, remain with ourselves, our club and Rotary with an attitude born of charity.

We seek to be better as we imitate Your love for us, even if we see no response. By Your grace, the great Rotary tree of hope, united in charity, with our faith in You our good God, we pray to enjoy good health of spirit.

With patience and forbearance for others and an understanding of their needs, we pray to overcome all barriers and differences whether they be: social, economic, racial or cultural.

Charity, like music for the soul, unites us.

In thy name we pray.

Amen.
